At DFW (Designer Furniture World), we believe luxury furniture deserves reliable delivery—not rushed delivery.

Every order is carefully reviewed and shipped using the most appropriate and dependable shipping method based on the size, weight, and handling requirements of the item. All shipments are fully insured for added peace of mind.

Small Parcel Deliveries (Under 50 lbs)

Items weighing less than 50 lbs are typically shipped via insured UPS or FedEx.

Examples include:

Lamps, Accent Pillows, Rugs, Mirrors, Small Lighting, Nightstands, Accent Tables, End Tables, Decorative Accessories

Important

If your order qualifies for parcel shipping, it will be shipped via our insured UPS or FedEx network regardless of the delivery option selected during checkout.

10–12 Business Days

This includes order processing, preparation, and transit time.

Large Furniture Deliveries

Large furniture pieces require specialized transportation and handling to ensure they arrive safely.

Examples include:

Sofas, Sectionals, Dining Tables, Beds, Dressers, Large Cabinets, Entertainment Units, Recliners, Large Accent Furniture

Approximately 5–6 Weeks

Because furniture is large, delicate, and often handmade, we focus on safe and dependable transportation rather than the fastest possible delivery.

Large Furniture Delivery Options

Threshold Delivery

With Threshold Delivery, your furniture is delivered to the first dry, safe area of your residence.

Examples:

Front Door, Garage, Covered Entryway, Ground Floor Lobby (Apartment Buildings)

The furniture is not unpacked, assembled, or moved into a room of choice.

Platinum White Glove Delivery

Our premium delivery experience.

With Platinum White Glove Delivery, our delivery team will:

✔ Deliver furniture into your room of choice

✔ Carefully unpack all items

✔ Assemble and place furniture where desired

✔ Inspect items with you upon delivery

✔ Remove all packaging materials and debris

This is the preferred delivery method for larger furniture purchases and luxury interiors.

Example: How Shipping Is Determined

Example 1: Ordering a Lamp

A table lamp typically weighs less than 50 lbs.

Even if a White Glove option is selected at checkout, the lamp will ship through our insured UPS or FedEx parcel network because it does not require specialized furniture handling.

Example 2: Ordering a Sofa

A sofa requires specialized furniture transportation.

You may choose:

Threshold Delivery

  • Delivered to the first dry area of your home

or

Platinum White Glove Delivery

  • Delivered inside
  • Unpacked
  • Assembled (when applicable)
  • Packaging removed

Shipping Protection & Damage Claims

Every order shipped from DFW is fully insured for transit protection.

While shipping damage is uncommon, furniture and home furnishings travel through multiple handling points during transit. If your order arrives with visible damage, please notify us as soon as possible so we can begin assisting you immediately.

If Your Order Arrives Damaged

  1. Inspect your order upon delivery whenever possible.
  2. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
  3. Take clear photographs of:
    • The damaged item
    • The packaging
    • Any shipping labels
  4. If possible, record a short video showing the damage.

If Your Files Are Too Large

If your photos or videos are too large to send by email, simply send us an email with the subject line:

A DFW Customer Service Associate will contact you within approximately 2–3 business hours to assist with file submission and begin the claim process.
